The rare failure

The transfer is atomic: it either completes or does not happen, with no half state in between. Where the bank says completed and the balance disagrees, give support the time, the amount and the bank's reference. That is enough to trace it.

How winnings leave

IPS is a deposit route and not a payout one. Winnings go by bank transfer to an account in your own name, or in cash at a betting shop where the operator has them. The name has to match — an operator will not pay to somebody else's account, and that rule accounts for most refused withdrawals. What IPS is not

IPS is neither an account nor a wallet: there is nothing to open, nothing to top up and no balance of its own. It is a way for your bank to move money, and the money is in your bank the whole time until it is not. That is also why it only works one way — an operator cannot push money back down the same rail.
