Rollover Explained: What a Betting Bonus Really Asks

Rollover is the turnover required before bonus money becomes money you can withdraw. It comes as a multiplier: a 5x rollover on a 1,000 dinar bonus means 5,000 dinars of qualifying stakes.

What the multiplier applies to

Five times the bonus is 5,000 dinars. Five times deposit plus bonus, on a 1,000 dinar deposit, is 10,000. Same headline, twice the work, and the terms page is the only place that says which one you have.

What travels with the multiplier

  • Eligible bets: system bets, cashed-out bets and sometimes whole markets are excluded.
  • Deadline: a set number of days, after which the bonus and any winnings from it are removed along with the unfinished turnover.
  • Minimum odds: bets below the stated floor — usually 1.50, per selection or across the ticket — do not count — backing a heavy favourite adds nothing to the total.

Contribution is the part people miss

A pre-match single usually counts in full. Accumulators, live bets and certain markets may count at a reduced rate or not at all, which means a 5x rollover cleared on 50% contribution is really 10x.

Where the two kinds separate

Take 10,000 dinars at 3x with a 3.00 minimum: that is 30,000 staked, on prices that go down more often than they come in. The same 10,000 as a casino bonus at 30x on slots asks for 300,000. One is a normal weekend; the other is a different pastime.

Work it out first. Multiply, check the odds floor against the bets you would place anyway, and compare the total against the days you have.

When clearing it requires more turnover than you intended, or a different kind of betting than you actually do, the offer is not worth it — and a bonus you decline never touches your own deposit.

Two more things

Bonus and real money are usually separate balances, so withdrawing the real one can forfeit what is left of the other. Many offers cap the maximum stake while a rollover is running, and going over it can void the bonus rather than just the bet.
